I didn't say in my main post here, but I saw this film as a kid, and had fond memories of it from then. But having revisited it in my twenties - an accidental 'caught it on tv' event during my non-wargaming period - and realised how off the mark it was historically (and not all that well put together in other respects, like plot, direction,etc.), I already knew, before my recent viewing - about six months ago now - that I no longer found it very enjoyable.
